Review A

As a new driver with little experience (only 30+ driving sessions after getting my license in 45 days), I find the GAC Trumpchi GS4 PLUS easy to drive—even my family agrees. I can't tell if it's underpowered or has gear shifts issues, and driving at 50 mph during the test drive scared me. The space is great: the rear seats fold down (not completely flat, but usable as a pillow) and I can lie comfortably in the back. All the tall male family members fit in the rear too. Having never owned a car and mostly taking taxis, I think the GS4 PLUS is good enough.

Review B

My experience with the GAC Trumpchi GS4 PLUS is positive. The seats are moderately soft and hard, and the chassis support is firm with sedan-like cornering performance. In ECO mode, fuel efficiency is good, averaging 13.28 L/100km during the break-in period; 8 L/100km in standard mode, 10 in the city, and 7 on the highway (with RPM below 2500). It has a high rate of回头率 (head-turning rate) thanks to the distinctive "Zhentianyi" front. So far, no issues have been found in 47 days of ownership. There's a slight delay in throttle response, but pushing the accelerator intermittently boosts power; downshifting manually is more effective than S mode. The steering wheel is light, which is comfortable in the city but a bit worrying on the highway. The 2.71m wheelbase provides ample rear legroom, and the trunk is spacious. The side and rear resemble the GS5, but the front is highly recognizable. The interior is satisfactory with plenty of soft materials. The 2.0T Xingji version offers good value, with features similar to the 1.5T mid-trim except for a mechanical gearshift and no facial recognition.

Review C

What's the most popular car type in the current auto market? I think compact SUVs deserve the title, and the Trumpchi GS4 PLUS is one of them. Though named as an upgrade of GS4, it resembles the facelifted GS5. Its exterior is tough and imposing with two grille options: "Star Wing" (dot matrix, sporty) and "Sky-shaking Wing" (waterfall, grand), meeting different personal preferences. In terms of size, it measures 4710/1885/1726mm with a 2710mm wheelbase, larger than the current GS4 and with the same wheelbase as GS5, offering spacious interior and a 670L trunk. The interior features a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel, 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, 10.1-inch central control screen, abundant soft materials, and two color schemes. Power-wise, it's equipped with GAC's self-developed 2.0T JULANG engine (185kW/390N·m) mated to an Aisin 6AT gearbox, with official 0-100km/h acceleration of 7.5 seconds. During a highway test, it had no starting jolts and strong mid-to-high speed acceleration, suitable for daily commuting. Overall, as a family car, the Trumpchi GS4 PLUS performs well, but its market performance remains to be seen.
