Review A

I chose the SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang PLUS for its appearance. The fuel consumption is approximately 9.4L/100km. There is significant gear shifting jerkiness, especially when shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th gears without reaching 2500 RPM. The interior has severe resonance and abnormal noises, including a buzzing sound and plastic parts rattling. At around 7,000 km, there was a clicking noise from the rear axle when braking in neutral at low speeds, which required replacement at the 4S shop. At 8,900 km, the engine fault light came on, and the 4S shop diagnosed a stuck-closed canister solenoid valve. Such frequent issues within less than 9,000 km make me doubt whether Wuling's slogan "Whatever the people need, Wuling makes it" is just a gimmick.

Review B

My SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang PLUS has only one drawback: fuel consumption is a bit high. With the turbocharged engine, gentle driving gives around 7-8 L/100km, but aggressive driving with AC can exceed 10 L/100km, which is tough for average families. However, overall I'm very satisfied as it suits my needs for work, family use, and my love for driving. Regarding resonance, it's minor compared to my previous Dongfeng Xiaokang K17; rear-wheel drive cargo vehicles naturally have some noise, which can be reduced with sound insulation. I haven't experienced oil leakage issues. Since I chose it, I won't嫌弃 it—treating the car well matters. I've modified it quite a bit and will share photos and videos later.

Review C

The 1.5T engine of my SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang PLUS has less torque at low revs but delivers noticeable power after turbo kicks in. The clutch has a long travel and low engagement point, causing initial shifting jerkiness, but it gets smoother by shifting around 2200 RPM with early throttle. The engine sounds good, idles quietly, and provides instant power once adapted. Interior noise mainly comes from the driveshaft due to the 2.8m wheelbase rear-drive setup with a single steel plate chassis; adding sound deadening (around 200 yuan DIY) reduces it effectively. After the first tank, urban fuel consumption was 8.55L/100km in Weihai's hilly, coastal, air-conditioned, and loaded conditions, which I'm satisfied with for such a large vehicle.
