As an auto mechanic with over a decade of experience, I appreciate SAIC-GM-Wuling's "hard work and self-improvement" spirit. The Wuling Hongguang series impresses me most. Last week, I repaired a 2020 Hongguang V 1.2L Jinxiang Edition National VI LSI. Its exterior is low-key and classic with a sliding side door, common in microvans. Powered by a 1.2L 76-horsepower L4 engine and 5-speed manual transmission, its performance is average but sufficient for daily use. The owner had a steering deviation issue, which I resolved through a wheel alignment after finding normal shock absorbers and uneven tire pressure as the cause, charging around 100 yuan to the owner's satisfaction.

I own a SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang V. Its configuration is too low: no rearview mirror adjustment, no central control screen, and small tires. The 1.5L engine lacks power, often stalling when starting at low revs; even at high revs, power isn't strong, and air conditioning affects low-speed power significantly. The gearbox has serious low-rev脱档 and resonance. Fuel consumption is around 10L/100km, which is a bit high. However, the space is large with ample storage and 7-seat capacity. The brand reputation, front-engine design for easy maintenance, and cargo-friendly space were why I chose it, though its driving performance and power are worse than the old Wuling Hongguang.

The SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang V lives up to Wuling's reputation as a "national car" - it's reliable, with mostly minor faults and cheap parts. I encountered severe body shaking during clutch half-engagement when the engine was warm, which was fixed by replacing the clutch pressure plate (198 yuan) due to uneven spring爪 heights. Its 1.2L naturally aspirated engine with 5-speed manual delivers 76 hp; adequate for its weight. The front MacPherson and rear rigid axle suspension offers poor comfort with noticeable road bumps. The interior is basic with hard black plastics, but the space is good.
