Review A

I've had my GAC Trumpchi GS3 for a week and driven less than 600 kilometers. There's some low-speed顿挫, but normal slow starts in Comfort mode are okay. The throttle is a bit jumpy, making it hard to get onto curbs smoothly without a manual gearbox. The rear seat space is impressive with a flat floor. The trunk is a bit small but sufficient for daily use, fitting one large and one small suitcase; the rear seats can fold flat for a bed, though I rarely use this. The infotainment system is somewhat underwhelming: the Jinzhi version lacks CarPlay, only having Baidu's system which I don't use as I dislike Baidu Maps. It can't download third-party apps, with only 5-6 useless apps in the built-in store. Bluetooth works well, and I can send phone navigation to the car by logging into the built-in Amap account via Bluetooth.

Review B

The GAC Trumpchi GS3 looks great. As a small SUV, the space is good; at 180cm, I have over a fist of legroom in the back, and the rear seats fold down. The E-mode has a jerk, but switching to Comfort and disabling auto start-stop helps. The steering wheel pulls to the right significantly, making highway driving tiring and almost causing an accident. Fuel consumption for 160km highway and 40km city driving is as shown. I'm most dissatisfied with the steering issue and missing the official cash subsidy after purchase.

Review C

The GAC Trumpchi GS3 is easy to drive without the high center of gravity feel of SUVs. It has strong power. As I prefer hatchbacks and occasional mountain/river trips, its moderate height, increased ground clearance over hatchbacks, and sub-4.5m length are perfect. Space-wise, the rear seats affect the trunk, but it's a plus for me (mostly solo driving, rarely using the trunk). Folding the rear seats provides ample space – enough for me (178cm) to lie on an air mattress. Fuel consumption has dropped from 10L/100km to 8.0L after 100km and is expected to improve post 3000km break-in.
