I've owned the Hongqi HS3 for 100 days and here's my experience. The exterior is stunning—younger buyers like me choose it for looks, not just brand情怀. The red-and-black interior with sport seats, heating/ventilation, and large screen suits my taste, though the infotainment system lags on startup and when reading USB drives. The 2024 model's missing passenger ambient light is disappointing, but space is comparable to the HS5. It’s packed with features: lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, hill-hold assist, and adaptive cruise control work well; the 360° camera is clear but the red reverse alert initially startled me as there’s still distance. The 1.5T engine (169hp) is adequate for daily use but struggles a bit on acceleration and hills. After 6,400km, average fuel consumption is 7-8L/100km, similar to my previous Honda Jade 1.8L. Overall, I’m satisfied and hope it serves me reliably for 7-8 years, maybe even 10—safety is most important.
