The ZXAUTO Zhongxing 1986 is a renamed version of the Zhongxing Weishi G7, tracing back to the old Dalingzhu model, so its driving feel can be referenced from the latter. I am most satisfied with its exterior size, giving a substantial look. However, the overall craftsmanship is略显粗糙. Powered by Great Wall's 2.0T diesel engine with 122kW maximum power and 410N•m maximum torque, it performs adequately. The 6-speed manual transmission may be challenging for those unused to manual gears, and diesel engines have limited rev ranges with different shifting timings compared to gasoline engines, which could be unfamiliar. The ride is comfortable when stationary, but the infotainment system is simple, not as sophisticated as it appears.
