I've driven my Chery Arrizo 8 PRO for 8,000 km since August 18. Its strengths include strong acceleration even over 120 km/h, good fuel economy (5.7-6 L/100km highway, 7.8 L/100km combined for a 2.0L), spacious interior, and comfortable soft seats. The infotainment setup with dual screens looks modern, though seat leather quality is basic.

However, there are notable issues: decorative strips on front doors/fenders peeled (repaired under warranty), throttle pedal was noisy and sticky (replaced but still sticky), power tailgate sometimes slams shut, lumbar support adjusts incorrectly, camera黑屏 once, front suspension is too soft causing ground clearance issues, brake feel is nonlinear with noticeable nodding, slow power engagement when starting/creeping leading to hill start rollbacks with auto-hold on, and front door rattles on rough roads plus engine metallic noise on cold starts. Steering is normal with no alignment issues. These are fixable shortcomings worth considering for potential buyers.

My experience with the Chery Arrizo 8 PRO: Bought it after seeing many video recommendations highlighting its high value for money. The space is larger than competitors like the Xingrui, UNI-V, and Trumpchi Shadow Leopard, with two fists of legroom in the back. The 2.0L engine (254hp, 390N·m) delivers strong power but lags slightly behind the UNI-V, Shadow Leopard, and MG in performance; highway driving is good but has throttle delay and poor pedal feel. Handling is comfort-oriented, with a soft suspension that causes noticeable body roll at over 50km/h when cornering. Seats are firm yet comfortable but have a large gap in the headrest, causing neck fatigue. Fuel consumption varies by driving style, averaging 6-7L/100km when driven gently and 8L when accelerating aggressively. Exterior drawbacks include a short front end, unappealing rear design, narrow windows, and a pointed, "小头爸爸"-like front end. Major complaints: poor after-sales service, quality control issues (seat异响, door sill rust, door handle problems within a month), untransparent pricing (varying by negotiation skills), lack of PDI report, and severe cost-cutting (e.g., wireless charging only in the top trim of the 2.0L model while the 1.6L Comfort trim has it).

Why I chose Chery Arrizo 8 PRO Comfort? I preferred its new large infotainment screen and wireless charging over the old model. The space is better than other domestic rivals, especially the rear seat with ample legroom. The seats are well-padded, and the suspension offers a comfortable ride, though wind and tire noise (likely from Giti tires) are noticeable. The 1.6T engine provides sufficient power, with slight low-speed gearshift顿挫 but smooth at higher speeds. Standard L2 ADAS, 540° transparent chassis, and rich infotainment features (CarPlay, HiCar, Carlife) are impressive. I got a good deal in Chengdu during National Day with subsidies. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.
