I bought the Exeed Lingyun last National Day. Previously, I drove a 2014 Changan CS35 manual petrol car, which often stalled when starting with 5 people and air conditioning in summer. I chose Lingyun for its powerful engine (after considering Tiggo 8 PRO but being unsatisfied with price and non-integrated doors) and the national scrap subsidy policy. Though I initially preferred petrol for no range anxiety, now I slightly regret not choosing a new energy vehicle as I mostly drive in suburban areas with only two non-holiday highway trips a year.

Overall, I'm satisfied after a year of use. I like its stylish exterior, original front face, and premium interior. The body uses good materials, providing a sense of safety. The 1.6T wet dual-clutch has sufficient power; sport mode offers instant acceleration for confident overtaking, while standard mode meets daily needs and eco mode has throttle delay. Fuel consumption is acceptable: 7.2-7.5L/100km at 110km/h on highways, 6.5-6.9L/100km on 60km/h national roads, 8-9L/100km in non-congested urban areas, and over 10L in congestion. Winter warm-up takes 3-4 minutes, with initial fuel consumption around 20L dropping to 10L after 4-5km. Useful features include remote start (great for winter pre-heating) and Bluetooth key (convenient when forgetting the remote). The sound insulation is good with double-layer glass, keeping it quiet below 100km/h.

However, there are drawbacks. The起步 acceleration is slower than other brands, feeling a bit sluggish at traffic lights (though strong in the later stage, suitable for佛系 drivers). The dual-screen design, while good-looking, reflects light at night, affecting rearview visibility; an embedded design would be better. The 8155 chip's infotainment system occasionally lags but is acceptable for my limited use (music and highway navigation). Despite claiming 80% high-strength steel, the rear door edge dented slightly in minor collisions without paint damage, which is disappointing. I haven't encountered issues like water leakage or tire bulging. The sales experience was frustrating with套路 and price variations.

In conclusion, Exeed Lingyun meets my family and comfort needs with良心 materials from Chery. I hope Chery can make the Xingtu brand stronger and more well-known, though durability needs time to prove.

I am mostly satisfied with the Exeed Lingyun. Its driving quality, chassis performance, power, unique外观, and safety give me great confidence. The space is spacious; the rear seat is very comfortable, with a lower floor compared to the Tiggo 9, Yaoguang, and 8L, making it the most comfortable for sitting. The power is sufficient, and overtaking on the highway is easy. The handling is excellent, though the standard mode has a slow start, but the sport mode is good. The ride is very comfortable; my mom says the rear seat is more comfortable than the Audi A6, and my 6-year-old son didn't get carsick during a 700-kilometer trip, unlike last year in a Passat, probably due to the chassis and rear seat comfort. The fuel consumption is 8.9 as shown on the car machine; it can be over 6 when cruising at 110 km/h on the highway, but up to 20 in urban traffic jams. The only dissatisfaction is that the seat only has 6-way adjustment; I like to drive reclined, and it would be perfect with seat angle tilt adjustment, but the adaptive cruise makes long trips easier. I have been researching cars since 2018, initially looking at joint ventures like Corolla, Bora, and Sagitar, then became a Chery fan after seeing the Tiggo 8. I decided to buy it in 2024 after having a second child, and chose the Lingyun over the Passat for material and safety considerations.
