As a compact SUV under FAW Bestune, the Pentium T77 has some notable traits. Its 1.2T turbo engine with 143Ps feels underpowered, taking 11.2 seconds for acceleration and lacking后劲 beyond 80km/h, along with obvious engine and A-pillar wind noise. The 7-speed DCT doesn't deliver great fuel efficiency, with an acceptable 8.2L/100km. The torsion beam rear suspension results in a stiff ride, failing to filter bumps well, and the rear seats have hard back support causing discomfort on long rides. On the plus side, cabin space is good, with nearly 1 fist of headroom for 182cm passengers in both rows and over 2 fists of rear legroom. The interior uses nice soft materials with stitching for a premium look. The infotainment system has fast touch response and smooth interface switching but suffers from Bluetooth disconnections and phone connectivity crashes. Braking is stable, achieving a good 39.67-meter 100km/h braking distance.

The FAW Bestune Pentium T77 gained popularity initially with its novel holographic projection technology, complemented by appealing core components and a sleek design. Its exterior caters well to young users, and the interior, particularly the steering wheel and central control screen, resembles Mercedes-Benz, though it can't match the latter's quality. It shares Mercedes' high fuel consumption, averaging 15 L/100km in the city versus a satisfactory 7 L/100km on highways. The spaciousness is excellent, with comfortable front and rear seats, nearly flat second-row seats, and a huge trunk, though storage design has flaws: the armrest box lid and main driver's cup holder with large bottles hinder operation. The 2020 model's 1.5T engine (169 hp) should handle its 1.5t weight, but the 7DCT's slow response and occasional unresponsive throttle mar performance. While holographic projection attracted attention, frequent smart system lag and crashes severely damaged its reputation—"made by tech, broken by tech".

I am satisfied with my FAW Bestune Pentium T77 in several aspects. Its front face looks young and sophisticated with chrome strips connecting the headlights, creating a wide visual effect, and the taillights give a sleek, crossover style from the side. The interior in brown and beige has a clear three-layer layout with a trendy dual-screen design and a compact electronic gearshift,营造 a modern and tech-savvy atmosphere. The seating space is impressive; with my 174cm height, there's 1拳 of headroom in the front and rear, and over 2拳 of legroom in the back. The trunk has a large opening, and the rear seats fold flat for a spacious loading area. The 1.5T engine provides sufficient power even when fully loaded with family and luggage. It also comes with useful features like cruise control, panoramic sunroof, and full LED headlights. However, I wish all trims had rear center armrest and cup holders, and it's a pity it doesn't have four-wheel independent suspension.
