SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun RS-7

I've owned the SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun RS-7 for less than 5 years and driven over 140,000 km. It has major reliability issues: oxygen sensor failure at 40,000 km causing 19.9 fuel consumption and black smoke; uneven second-row armrests replaced twice; faulty catalytic converter at 80,000 km (out of warranty); fuel solenoid leak at 100,000 km leading to hard starting and low-speed jerking. Fuel economy is terrible—1 yuan/km in the city, only 500-600 km on the highway with a 55L tank. At 120 km/h, the car shakes, drifts, and the second row vibrates. The Atlas tires are noisy; replacing them didn't reduce fuel use. Interior space is poorly designed: second row doesn't fully recline, third row is only for kids, and trunk is tiny. ADAS is problematic—can't activate below 60 km/h, has false emergency braking, and lacks obstacle avoidance. The infotainment system is useless, only supports Bluetooth, crashes often, and can't install third-party apps. Now there are 2 error codes, many minor issues, and parts are hard to find, often requiring purchases from Xianyu.

The SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun RS-7, a mid-size SUV unveiled in June last year but not yet launched, has some units arriving at dealers. It may launch at this year's Shanghai Auto Show. Its exterior features a blackened polygonal grille with vertical bars, sharp narrow headlights, black fog lamp areas, a硬朗贯穿式 waistline, floating roof, two-tone alloy wheels, and a fortress-style rear with blackened taillights and dual exhausts. The interior has an integrated large screen, a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and silver拉丝装饰. It offers 6-seat (2+2+2) and 7-seat (2+2+3) layouts. Powered by a 1.5T turbo engine with 177Ps and 290N·m, mated to an 8-speed CVT.

The SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun RS-7, a mid-size SUV with 4930/1975/1775mm dimensions and 2900mm wheelbase, features a sporty exterior with a blackened waterfall grille, sleek headlights, floating roof, and dual exhausts. Its interior boasts a panoramic screen and dual-spoke steering wheel, offering 6-seat (2+2+2) and 7-seat (2+2+3) layouts. Powered by a 1.5T engine (177Ps, 290N·m) mated to an 8-speed CVT, it delivers a dynamic drive. Though unveiled last June, it hasn't launched yet but is expected at this year's Shanghai Auto Show.
