I bought my Chery Arrizo 5 PLUS at the end of January 2021, and now after nearly three months, I'd like to share my true feelings. The 1.5T engine has slight turbo lag, but it's manageable once you get used to it, and the power is sufficient with a burst when overtaking. There haven't been widespread quality issues reported by other owners. However, the engine noise is a bit loud, especially during turbo engagement and acceleration. The automatic transmission (top trim) doesn't have obvious shifting顿挫, except for a slight one when accelerating after sudden deceleration, but overall I'm satisfied. The rear suspension is on the stiff side; with 2.8 tire pressure, the front row feels okay over bumps, but the back row is quite bumpy. It does help with reducing body roll when cornering. In terms of space, the front row is very comfortable, the two sides of the rear row are decent, but the middle seat is uncomfortable due to a high central floor. I'm 180cm tall, and the rear headroom is adequate, but legroom is limited. The trunk is spacious with good utilization despite its irregular shape, though the两侧弯梁 limit the height for items on the sides. Fuel consumption dropped from 13 at delivery (2km) to 8.6 after 1000km.

This is my first car. After comparing models like the Yidong PLUS, I bought the Chery Arrizo 5 PLUS (sub-top trim) for 91,000 yuan all-in. I like its side and rear looks, and the interior with embedded screen; the seats are comfortable and there was little plastic smell when new. Having driven 4,800 km, the ride is okay. Low-speed jerking and brake pedal vibration occur in traffic. Braking feels delayed initially. Sport mode offers good acceleration with a push feeling. Road and wind noise are noticeable at around 60 km/h. CarPlay has connection issues. Fuel consumption is 6 L/100km on highways, 9-10.5 L/100km in traffic (with/without AC). No major problems except minor scratches from my inexperience. It offers good value for the price.

I know I'm being verbose, but these are my genuine experiences as a new driver, so please bear with me. After comparing various models like the Jetta VA3, Haval M6, and Changan Eado Plus, I chose the Chery Arrizo 5 PLUS. I ordered it on February 8 and picked it up on March 4, with freebies like an engine guard, seat covers, floor mats, and lifetime free basic maintenance plus engine warranty. The exterior has a mature front, sporty smoked tail lights, and a stylish rear logo, though the side waistline is a bit off-putting. The interior features mostly soft leather with little odor, long seats offering good leg support, a simple dashboard, and a user-friendly electronic gear lever. Its configuration is unbeatable for the price: automatic parking, electronic gear lever, L2 driving assistance, ACC, lane keeping, 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, built-in dash cam, etc. As a new driver, it handles well. Turbo kicks in above 1800rpm, providing strong acceleration for overtaking. Wind and tire noise are noticeable at high speeds, and the rear torsion beam suspension leads to a bumpier ride. The fuel consumption is 7.2L/100km after 246km, which I'm satisfied with.
