My Hongqi H9 is excellent in most aspects but let down by its subpar infotainment system, which lags far behind BMW. The seats are top-tier in comfort, adjustment, and support. The Bose sound system with adjustable sound focus is enjoyable, though not as good as the Bowers & Wilkins in the S90 or Revel in the Navigator. Comfort and Eco modes offer a smooth ride, while Sport mode delivers ample power, and the refreshment mode with negative ions is invigorating. However, the infotainment system has critical flaws: many activated functions like smoking, haze, and refreshment modes lack a one-click off or return option, and both manual and voice controls fail to close them. The built-in Kuwo Music and FM radio can't be shut down either, and Bluetooth music often malfunctions. Additionally, the entry-level Qixiang trim lacks the Qichang's ambient light with music synchronization and passenger screen ambient light, which isn't mentioned in the app and is a post-purchase disappointment. After researching models like the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, CT6, S90, and Navigator—each with their own drawbacks—I chose the H9 Qixiang with options like advanced cruise control, HUD, and the diamond grille.
