Changan Oushang Z6

I'm 25 with 4 years of driving experience. I used to drive my brother's 15-year-old Kia, but needed a safer family car. Attracted by Oushang X5's design, I followed the Changan Oushang Z6 since its launch and bought it. I love its exterior, which I think looks better than the 75plus. The 1.5L engine is powerful enough for family use; Smart and Comfort modes work well, much better than my old 1.6L naturally aspirated Cerato. The triple-screen interior is more visually appealing than dual screens. The new car had a slight smell but it faded after a few days. The front double-layer soundproof glass is good for its price, but the large wheels cause noticeable road and tire noise. The 360-degree camera is convenient, but the built-in dashcam is too blurry to see license plates. The fuel consumption is a bit high now, around 9L/100km, and I hope it improves after the first service. The transmission has throttle delay; sometimes there's no response when I press the accelerator, and sometimes it accelerates suddenly, which is annoying. Finally, does anyone know if there's a physical button inside the car to open the trunk?

After getting my driver's license on the 23rd, I decided to buy a car. I contacted a sales consultant with a friend's help and found the last top trim Changan Oushang Z6 in Zhengzhou this year, so I picked it up immediately. The sales consultant was efficient, completing all procedures including license plate in one day. The total cost was 125,000 yuan all-inclusive. Free gifts included floor mats, trunk mat, car film, a blue whale doll (for the Blue Whale engine promotion), and a first service. The sales also gave me a parking contact card personally. The fuel consumption on the drive home from Zhengzhou was a bit high, which is normal for a new car, and I will update later after more driving.

I bought the Changan Oushang Z6 in June 2023. Its fuel consumption is around 6-7L/100km in summer and 8-10L/100km in winter, even over 10L in traffic jams but drops to 7+L on long trips, which is not bad after half a year. The intelligence is impeccable—my wife, a new driver, can control everything by voice, and the all-round camera is responsive, making her practice much easier. In winter, it needs warming up after being parked outside all morning, and there's a slight rattle from the passenger window, probably due to the cold, which disappears in summer. The ride feels a bit loose, but its strength and safety are sufficient. Overall, it offers great value for money, better than some Japanese cars. I strongly recommend it. My dream car was the Xingyue L, but this Z6 is more affordable and satisfying enough, especially for a salary earner—it even makes others think it costs at least 150,000+.
