Compared to the Yixuan Black Warrior version, the Dongfeng Yixuan GS Black Warrior version is less impressive in stance. As a crossover SUV derived from a sedan, its rear end lacks a coupe-like sloping design, reducing sportiness, though the black-red color scheme helps its appearance. The interior layout, 10.25-inch central control screen, 7-inch LCD instrument cluster, and WindLink 4.0Pro infotainment system are nearly identical to the Yixuan, ensuring smoothness and functionality. The 150hp 1.5T engine with 6-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers average performance but has noticeable low-speed顿挫, unlike the Yixuan, possibly due to different software calibration. The shared front MacPherson and rear torsion beam suspension offers insufficient support in the GS, with more residual vibrations over speed bumps and obvious braking点头现象.

The Dongfeng Yixuan GS has its highlights. Its exterior is bold yet harmonious with sharp edges, a large black grille with progressive mesh, and a floating roof, giving a sporty look. The interior features a wrap-around design, soft搪塑 (tangsuo - can be translated as "soft plastic" or kept as "搪塑" if specific term is needed) with patterns, and a 7-inch LCD instrument panel plus a 10.25-inch floating center console, enhancing a sense of technology. Powered by Dongfeng's 1.5T engine with 150Ps and 230N·m, mated to a Getrag 6-speed DCT, it offers smooth起步 (qibu - "start-up" or "initial acceleration") and good mid-range performance. The steering is precise, and the suspension effectively filters bumps for a comfortable ride. With 175cm height, there's ample front and rear space, though the middle floor hump makes the back tight for three. The 474L trunk expands to 1109L. The Yueku version comes with 360 panoramic影像 (yingxiang - "imaging") with 3D view, active braking, and hill-start assist. However, its high-speed acceleration after 100km/h is lacking, wind noise is noticeable at high speeds, the rear seats don't fold flat with the trunk floor (10cm higher), and Dongfeng Fengshen has few dealers, affecting brand awareness and after-sales service convenience.

What I like about Dongfeng Yixuan GS: Its exterior is sporty and stylish, with red trims on the front大灯 and rear, a sleek side profile resembling a wagon. The interior has a user-friendly layout with a floating infotainment screen, clear functional zones, and a multi-layered dashboard. It offers ample space; I'm 174cm tall and have 1拳 of headroom in the front and 2拳 of legroom in the rear. The driving experience is smooth, with gentle起步 and responsive acceleration when overtaking. It's fuel-efficient, averaging around 7.5L/100km combined. It's well-equipped with features like panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, and cruise control.

What I don't like: The rear non-independent suspension results in a bumpy ride over rough roads. High-speed noise, especially tire noise, is noticeable. There's no rear armrest or cup holders. The rear seats don't fold flat with the trunk, making it inconvenient to load large items.
