GAC Trumpchi M6

I chose the GAC Trumpchi M6 as our family car mainly for its affordability and flexible 7-seat layout. The third row can be fully folded, creating a large 1.2m×1.1m trunk space, which is convenient for carrying large items. The first and second rows offer excellent space and comfort with soft leather seats featuring ventilation holes, seat heating, and extendable waist support. The steering wheel also has heating, which is very friendly for northern winters. The 1.5T engine provides sufficient power for daily use; although it's a bit sluggish when starting in the city, it performs well for overtaking on the highway. The fuel consumption is acceptable, with 5-7L/100km on the highway and around 10L in traffic. However, there are some drawbacks: the A-pillar has a blind spot, the wind noise is noticeable due to non-double-layer glass, the floor isn't completely flat, and the infotainment system isn't smart and can't be upgraded later. Overall, it's a practical family MPV with a reasonable price and low maintenance costs.

My experience with GAC Trumpchi M6: The 1.5T engine delivers good power; even with 6 passengers, acceleration remains strong, especially in Sport mode. The dual-clutch transmission is smooth above 20km/h but a bit sluggish at起步, with slight顿挫 when braking from 1-2 gears. The chassis offers a comfortable ride. Space is excellent—my 178cm frame fits well in all three rows, and folding the third row provides ample cargo room. Fuel consumption averages around 10.2L/100km, acceptable for me.

Pros include sufficient storage spaces, user-friendly 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, and minimal new car smell.

However, there are drawbacks: noticeable tire noise at high speeds, dim high beams, and the missing 12V power outlet in the trunk (claimed as standard in specs, now negotiating with the dealer). The infotainment system lacks content, and Carlife+ frequently disconnects. Interior做工 is decent, though seat ventilation is absent despite perforated leather.

Overall, it meets my needs for a practical MPV, but improvements like sliding doors, hybrid options, and better sound insulation would enhance it.

I am satisfied with the GAC Trumpchi M6's spacious interior, which comfortably accommodates my family of five. The interior is decent with soft materials and I like the piano-key center console. The steering wheel is light and转向 is precise enough. However, the stock lights are too dim, seats are a bit hard, there was noticeable new car smell for over a month, and road and tire noise are excessive. The 1.5T engine is underpowered at起步 and on uphill, but sufficient above 20km/h. There's mild顿挫 in 1-2 gears and severe顿挫 twice at low speeds like being rear-ended. I have added OSRAM LED lenses and matrix lights, applied Llumar window film, installed chassis armor, done STP sound insulation (reduced 3.5dB), and replaced the floor mats with 360° ones.
