My experience with the COWIN Centum reflects my views on domestic cars—some pleasant surprises, some letdowns. The exterior is well-proportioned, though the long engine compartment (due to rear exhaust) limits cabin space; still, it's manageable given the higher body. I dislike the carbon fiber-style trim and bucket seats in a family car, but appreciate the hydraulic trunk struts, deep cargo area, and sturdy锻造铰链 doors with strong three-stage opening. The 4-speaker sound system is decent for lossless music. The 1.5T engine with 5-speed manual delivers good power (0-100km/h around 8s), and the clutch is light with nice shift feel, though the long travel is a minor flaw. Seat height initially caused 5th gear issues, fixed by lowering it. Steering is precise with no play, light at low speeds and heavy at high speeds, but the large gear ratio feels like driving a bigger car. The chassis is stable with soft suspension, inspiring confidence in corners and occasional spirited driving. Average fuel consumption is 7.7L/100km (low as 4+ at 80km/h cruise, high as 20+ with heavy acceleration). The headlight with lens has poor light pattern; I upgraded to LED bulbs, which are just adequate. Tire noise is noticeable—front wheel liner insulation and door weatherstripping helped slightly. The AC works great with strong airflow, getting very cold or hot. In summary, while轩逸/Corolla are like refined ladies, the Centum is a bold country girl—winning you over with its sincerity despite rough edges.

My COWIN Centum has a plain driving feel with a soft chassis that lacks support over speed bumps. The steering is light, power is adequate, and the engine vibrates slightly when going uphill, shifting at around 2500 rpm. After three months of break-in, fuel consumption remains 7-8 L/100km, with about 600 km per 450 yuan fill-up, averaging over 0.6 yuan/km, possibly due to low AC settings in hot weather. Bought from a car dealer after three days of price negotiation, only thousands off with no free maintenance. No local 4S店, planning to try Chery service at 5000 km, otherwise will self-maintain. The budget-friendly car has minor issues: loose interior trim panels rattling, and strong interior odor after sun exposure in July.

I like the COWIN Centum's appearance more and more, especially the black and white taillights. The seats are high, providing good headroom even for me (1.8m). The steering wheel grip is similar to Wuling Hongguang. Fuel consumption is around 6.2L/100km in urban/suburban and winter conditions. The suspension is more comfortable than Peugeot 2008 and Wuling Hongguang S. The audio quality is good with 4 front speakers. New car had left deviation;奇瑞4S couldn't adjust it properly. Gear shifting (1-2, 3-2-1) was not smooth initially but improved slightly. The cup holder behind the gear lever is碍事 when shifting. The new car came with two bottles of Wuliangye wine. The裸车 price was 64,900 yuan, insurance 3,600 yuan, and temporary license 10 yuan.
