First, the Geely Emgrand has a decent and elegant exterior, simple interior, and sufficient space for family use. The 4 millionth anniversary edition comes standard with LED headlights, which is generous. I chose the manual transmission; it drives smoothly with good handling, and the torsion beam rear suspension balances support and comfort well. The only downside is fewer airbags.

I opted for a fuel manual instead of new energy or hybrid because I don't drive much. EVs and hybrids have battery degradation issues, complex structures, and higher maintenance costs. Manual transmission is more reliable and hassle-free.

During car shopping, I focused on practicality. Among models like Roewe i5, Changan Eado, and Chery Arrizo, only Geely's sales staff proactively arranged a test drive, which influenced my decision.

My experience with the Geely Emgrand: As an 184cm, 110kg driver, I find the driving seat comfortable with a拳 of legroom in the back even after adjusting for my position. My wife is also satisfied with the space. The 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with 114hp is objectively a bit underpowered, but as a calm driver, it's sufficient for city driving and highway trips at around 90km/h, which feels stable with precise steering. Road noise is manageable with music at volume 8-10. Fuel consumption is now 7.2L/100km after nearly 300km, down from 12L initially, and I'm satisfied. The sales service was excellent, a big reason for my purchase. I got 4 years/8 maintenance visits since I ordered before November, plus a 6-year/150,000km extended warranty for 4399. No complaints; it's a great first car. The Misty Gray color is amazing!

For my Geely Emgrand, the appearance is average for its class and price, better than budget joint-venture models but not as good as the 2020 version. The sunroof quality is so-so, with visible lubricating grease on the tracks. The halogen headlights are really dim, even with lenses. The keyless entry is convenient, but the aluminum wheels are soft and prone to deep scratches. The reversing camera and radar are sensitive and loud. The trunk is spacious but not very regular. The steering wheel is super light with acceptable directionality; the voice control works well, but the USB and 12V charging ports are poorly positioned. Front legroom is limited when adjusted for comfort, affecting rear access, though the seats are comfortable. The clutch has a high and long travel, and the brake is short and soft with a weak feel. ESP is sensitive. The most frustrating issue is fuel consumption: with 450 km driven, using PetroChina fuel, gentle driving at an average speed of 40 km/h, the consumption is 14.5 L/100 km, about 0.85 yuan per km for a 1.5L engine.
