【Driving Experience】Driving the Changan Hunter on the highway, it doesn't feel as large as its 1.9-meter width suggests, thanks to its responsive steering, compact handling, and excellent visibility, making it quite manageable. The seating position is high, resembling a traditional off-road vehicle, offering a distant view that boosts driving confidence, though there are some blind spots. With a 2.0T Blue Core engine and ZF 8AT transmission, the power is impressive—0-100km/h acceleration takes under 10 seconds, leaving other cars behind at red lights. At low speeds with gentle acceleration, the ride is smooth with minimal transmission intervention. On the highway, acceleration isn't rapid initially but has strong sustained power, ensuring it performs well at high speeds. However, due to its boxy design, wind noise becomes noticeable at 90km/h. There is some tire noise, but the chassis provides decent insulation.

I'm very satisfied with the Changan Hunter. I think its exterior is the best-looking among Changan's recent pickup models, and the interior is quite different from traditional pickups with a significant improvement in quality—you might not even think it's a pickup when looking at the front row. The power is strong, and the 4WD system performs well, quickly engaging and locking wheels on muddy roads for stable driving.

My main dissatisfaction is the lack of a sunroof, making it inconvenient to disperse smoke when smoking at high speed, and the driver's sun visor without a vanity mirror.

In terms of driving experience, it feels like an SUV rather than a pickup for daily use, with a soft and comfortable suspension. It has good off-road capability and strong power; with better tires, it can handle moderate to heavy off-road conditions.

For the Changan Hunter, I'm satisfied with its stylish exterior, premium car-like interior, and sufficient 2.0T+8AT powertrain that handles highways and cities well with 7-8.5L/100km highway fuel consumption and 11.5-13L/100km urban. However, the top trim lacks a sunroof. The rear space is tight for over 1.8m passengers, the stock audio is poor, remote start via app falsely shows low fuel, and there was front axle transfer case oil leakage which is being索赔ed with good after-sales service but a 20-day wait for parts.
