【Car Buying Experience】I considered models like Changan C75, Wuling Xingguang, Trumpchi GS4, etc. I prioritized外观 and interior. Haval Big Dog felt a bit large, and H6 was too common. The GWM Haval Chitu in gray caught my eye with its dynamic and sleek design. The sales service was excellent, so I bought it the same day.
【Riding Experience】I have a standard build, and the space is sufficient. The back seat can comfortably fit 4 adults without knee issues.
【Driving Experience】It's very friendly for new drivers, with features like auto hold, 360° camera, and hill-start assist. The 184-horsepower engine accelerates quickly; I easily overtake others. In the city, fuel consumption is around 8.5 L/100km. On the highway, it drove stably even at 170 km/h.
【Most Dissatisfied】The air conditioning has an odor when AC is off. Sound insulation is average—there's loud engine noise at high revs and wind noise above 70 km/h with windows open. The automatic rearview mirror is expensive to replace (1,400 yuan each).

【Satisfied】The GWM Haval Chitu features a long wheelbase with short overhangs, giving it a compact stance. Its exterior and interior are appealing, suitable for young working-class people. Though not large-looking, the rear seats are spacious enough for 4-5 people daily, and the seats are comfortable. The 1.5T engine with 150 hp delivers steady power, sufficient for daily commuting.
【Dissatisfied】The Excellence trim lacks standard front/rear parking radar, full-speed adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, lane centering, and active braking (needs optional installation). The trunk is relatively small, causing inconvenience for long trips with luggage. Additionally, the sound insulation is poor, understandable given the price point.
【Driving Experience】Weighing under 1.5 tons, the 150-hp 1.5T engine provides adequate power without excess. The tuning is conservative, with active gearshifts and smoothness at medium-high speeds, but there's drag during low-speed shifts. It offers good stability at high speeds, with minimal body sway in crosswinds and slight steering adjustments, ensuring safety. The suspension is stiff, leading to an uncomfortable ride over speed bumps without resilience.
【Fuel Consumption】The combined fuel consumption is around 9.5L/100km, slightly higher than competitors, but acceptable.
【Summary】As a sporty urban SUV, the Haval Chitu caters to young people with its exterior and interior. Its power and chassis are adequate, with no major drawbacks. Priced around 110,000 RMB after tax, it fulfills the basic mission of safely and comfortably transporting passengers from A to B, though improvements would make it better.

Most satisfied with GWM Haval Chitu: The 1.5T engine with 184 hp and 275 Nm delivers strong power. Its dynamic exterior, corrosion-resistant underbody design with plastic plates, reinforced shock tower bar in the engine compartment, and thick, strong trunk cover showcase great attention to detail.
Not satisfied: Noticeable tire noise due to hard tires and non-double-layer glass. Tailgate trim corners collide with钣金, causing potential rattling. Taillights are slightly misaligned. Some holes in the wheel arches甩泥 into the engine compartment. Brake feel is not linear due to dual-clutch transmission, with slight 2nd-3rd gear顿挫. Lack of lumbar support, seat ventilation, steering wheel telescopic adjustment, and rear seat adjustment. 360° camera system is slow and occasionally lags when the screen is hot. HUD road sign and navigation text are too small.
Space: With a 2.7m wheelbase, the interior is spacious. Rear legroom exceeds two fists even for a 177cm driver.
Driving experience: Turbo kicks in around 1500rpm, with strong acceleration between 1900-2200rpm. Steering has minimal play, and the 1¼-turn wheel is comfortable. Body roll is well-controlled during sharp turns.
Fuel consumption: Average 8.5L/100km, dropping to 6.9L on smooth highways.
Suspension: Firm but with good support, providing a resilient ride similar to Volkswagen, better than some sedans.
