Dongfeng Nissan Venucia Estrella

The Dongfeng Nissan Venucia Star has an attractive design with a V-shaped front grille and star diamond accents, appealing to both older and younger drivers. Its spacious interior comfortably fits three adults in the back with a flat floor, and the Nissan-like seats are very comfortable. My average fuel consumption is 8.3 L/100km, with 8.9 L in the city and as low as 5.4 L on the highway, which is satisfying for a nearly 2-ton car. The 48V mild hybrid system paired with a 1.5T engine provides sufficient power for daily use and highway overtaking, with good stability at high speeds. The dry dual-clutch transmission occasionally makes a slight noise at very low speeds, but it doesn't affect daily driving and hasn't overheated even in heavy traffic. Additionally, the basic model performed well in C-IASI crash tests, showing good build quality.

Static: The Dongfeng Nissan Venucia Star has dimensions of 4691mm length, 1905mm width, 1694mm height, and 2756mm wheelbase. The interior uses soft materials on the upper dashboard, with a 10-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 10-inch central control screen in a piano烤漆 panel, but lacks a techy look. The plastic flat-bottom steering wheel has poor grip. The faux leather seats are very soft and comfortable. For a 173cm/55kg person, front headroom is 1拳零1指 (adjusted to lowest), rear legroom is 2拳零3指 and headroom is 1拳 with front seats unchanged.

Dynamic: It's powered by a 1.5T turbo engine (140kW/190hp, 260N·m) mated to a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission, which has obvious jerking, especially when downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear. The front MacPherson and rear multi-link suspension is tuned stiff, offering good support but less stable on rough roads. Noise insulation is average, with noticeable wind and tire noise above 60km/h. The tested fuel consumption in Taiyuan city is 8.3L/100km.

I bought the Dongfeng Nissan Venucia Star in December 2020, attracted by its interior and detailed configurations. It offers spacious space with a flat rear floor, and the trunk is large enough to hold over ten boxes when rear seats are folded. The 1.5T engine with 48V motor provides good power for initial acceleration, though high-rev noise is noticeable. The SAIC dry dual-clutch gearbox is smooth in D mode but has顿挫 in S mode; a better gearbox would make it a hit. Steering is light and accurate, but the suspension is stiff over potholes. The 235/55/R19 tires balance appearance and handling. Fuel consumption is around 10L/100km in the city and 6.5L on highways. Highlight features include driver-side wireless charging (supports 9V1.67A), a trunk power outlet, and Nissan Connect 3.0 with a nice interface.
