FAW-Haima 7X

I'm not used to driving the turbocharged FAW-Haima 7X; it's not as smooth as a large-displacement naturally aspirated engine. The power is sufficient, but the response is slightly delayed.

The FAW-Haima 7X has an eye-catching exterior with Italian design flair, featuring a boxy MPV shape that maximizes interior space. Its interior is user-friendly, highlighted by a convenient rear cabin monitoring system for kids. The 2+2+3 seating layout suits families well, especially with its impressive third row—spacious, with a flat floor and elevated seat cushions, offering comfort comparable to a small hatchback. However, concerns include sparse dealerships affecting after-sales service, potential poor resale value due to the weak brand, and possible underpowered performance when fully loaded.

Personal review of FAW-Haima 7X: Its exterior is stylish with hidden A-pillars creating a floating roof look, looking trendy unlike traditional稳重 MPVs. The interior feels fresh and homey, featuring a digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central control screen for a tech-savvy vibe. Both the second and third rows have cup holders and phone charging ports, offering convenience. As a compact MPV with dimensions 4815*1874*1720mm and a 2860mm wheelbase, its 2+2+3 seating arrangement provides ample space even when fully loaded. Powered by a 1.5T turbocharged engine paired with a 6AT gearbox (165hp, 240N·m), it delivers sufficient power in urban driving, though initial acceleration is a bit sluggish. The suspension (front MacPherson, rear multi-link) offers a comfortable ride with good chassis rigidity. However, the sound insulation is average—tyre, engine, and wind noise become noticeable at around 60-70km/h on provincial roads. The non-electric tailgate is heavy to close. Overall, it's a well-balanced family MPV with moderate cost, but the current discount is low.
