I chose the Exeed Lanyue for its high configuration, safety, third-row space, and affordability compared to joint-venture vehicles. I previously considered MPVs like GL8, Trumpchi M8, and Xinghai V9 but found their底盘 too low. Among 7-seat SUVs, the Shanhai T2 and Tiggo 9 had cramped third rows, while the Teramont and Talagon exceeded my budget. I also test-drove the Lanyue CDM but its sensitive throttle and brakes caused motion sickness. The third row has limited space for adults (1.7m tall with slight knee room), suitable for children on long trips. Urban fuel consumption is 13L/100km after 70km of driving; highway consumption is expected to be lower. The Lanyue offers better sound insulation (double-layer front glass and improved chassis隔音), more comfortable底盘, better 8-speaker audio, and a lower price than my previous Tiggo 8 Plus, though the 2026 2WD 7-seat seats are stiffer. The infotainment system's AC buttons are poorly positioned and prone to accidental activation; swapping them with the wireless charging pad would be better. Gear shifting is smooth, power is adequate for daily use, and the steering wheel is heavier than the Tiggo 8 Plus. I hope the build quality is more reliable than my previous Tiggo 8 Plus, which had issues with interior door handles, sunroof controllers, and the AC compressor.
