For the SAIC Motor MG6, its exterior stands out in the 100,000 RMB class, especially with TCR racing genes, though the ground clearance is a bit high and the wheels could be better. The interior is simple but has hard plastics on the door panels and center console, with issues like a poorly padded glasses case causing rattles and cup holders lacking fixing clips; however, the storage space is decent, such as the useful hollow under the gear lever. As a top trim, it’s well-equipped with features like automatic headlights, ACC, seat heating, and a BOSE sound system, outperforming joint-venture cars in the same price range but falling short of some domestic rivals in seat ventilation, steering wheel heating, and passenger seat power adjustment. The 180+ horsepower delivers good city handling, with responsive emergency lane changes, though the suspension is soft during sharp turns leading to noticeable body roll; it’s great for young drivers seeking excitement, enhanced by the exhaust sound. Maintenance costs are low, around 300-400 RMB per service with two free basic services annually. Fuel consumption is路况-dependent: 10-13 L/100km in city traffic and 6+ L/100km on highways, with a range of about 560 km in the city and over 750 km on highways. Choosing performance means accepting higher fuel consumption.

I chose the SAIC Motor MG6 Pro after considering models like the Yingbao, Xingrui, and Sagitar. I was attracted by its green exterior and sporty kit, which gets high attention on the road. The sales service was good. The interior features like the sound system and 360-degree camera are great, though the 360 view isn't very clear. Space is sufficient for home use, with a spacious trunk. The fuel consumption is 8.0 as shown on the dashboard; after adding 500 yuan (6.9 yuan per liter) of fuel, I've driven over 700 km with 300 km of range remaining. The most satisfying aspect is the appearance. The least satisfying is that remote control can't display current vehicle information, only data from 6 days ago. After a month and over 2,000 km, the highway fuel consumption during a 500-km self-driving trip wasn't as low as expected, and tire noise is noticeable after long drives.

The sales service at Tangshan MG was great—patient and straightforward, so I decided quickly, visiting in the morning and picking up the SAIC Motor MG6 in the afternoon. Driving it is excellent: the 1.5T engine has ample power, with stable steering, a solid chassis, and responsive brakes. The power and transmission matching is harmonious, with minimal shifting顿挫 for this price. The space is much larger than regular A-class cars, reaching A+ level, with good rear headroom and width—even wider than the Lamando. The trunk is very spacious with a hatchback design, rare for its class and price.
