【Car Purchase Experience】
I placed an order during the Chengdu Auto Show. I went to the BYD pavilion to check out the models, and it was really crowded there. The actual appearance of the Seal DM-i truly amazed me. I decided to place the order right away.
【Driving Experience】
Actually, I didn't test drive this car when I ordered it. Later, the 4S shop invited me to the store for a test drive. Since I don't have many unique insights into car driving, I can summarize two feelings: the sound insulation effect is really good, and the speed response is fast. Even though it's such a big car, I think the turning radius is small, and I don't feel the need to turn the steering wheel multiple times.
But after picking up the car, I drove back to my hometown by myself, from Chengdu to Lanzhou, a total of more than 1200 kilometers. The 1.5 naturally aspirated engine's performance on the highway is a bit weak, but I don't have high demand for power myself, so it's within an acceptable range.
【Fuel Consumption】
I didn't specifically recharge during the entire trip back to my hometown, and the fuel consumption was 5.9L/100km, which is acceptable. But when forced battery preservation is turned on, the battery level still drops, just more slowly. I don't know if my settings are incorrect.
【Most Satisfied】
The appearance really suits my taste, haha.
【Most Dissatisfied】
Although I chose a lower configuration, I thought leather seats would be standard. As an owner who likes a sense of luxury, I'm a bit disappointed.
【Maintenance】
I haven't reached the first maintenance yet, and I will share the maintenance process with everyone later. I enjoyed the new car benefit of 6 maintenance services, and the maintenance cost will be reduced significantly afterwards.

【Driving Experience】
The driving feel is good, with a strong sense of整体性 (solidity/integrity), and the sound insulation is also不错 (good). The front row has double-layer glass, and the rear space is very large.
【Fuel Consumption】
I didn't pay much attention to fuel consumption. It's probably around three to four liters in亏电 (low battery) condition. I drive more on highways and express roads.
【Sales Attitude】
The sales attitude was just so-so. They would also set traps for you, and some negative things they just wouldn't mention if they could. At that time, they gave me a display car, which I only found out after driving it home. Later, they compensated me with several free maintenance services. I suggest everyone check the charging records when picking up the car; that's how I found out.

I changed the car for the replacement subsidy. As I'm getting older, I don't have much demand for power. The Seal just meets my needs: its appearance is moderate yet stylish, and the chassis can basically satisfy the driving experience, though it's definitely a bit inferior compared to new power brands. Since there's already a pure electric SUV at home, I only considered plug-in hybrid sedans, and BYD was the first choice. The price of the Seal DM-i Honor Edition is quite reasonable, and the fact that the 4S store is very close to home was also a consideration factor.
I asked the salesperson about the Seal 07, but the salesperson pretended not to know about its launch, which is a negative point. The main reason for not considering the 07 is that the discount isn't sufficient, and I'm not optimistic about DM5 either; the fuel consumption won't differ much. Buying early allows for early enjoyment.
Personally, I like black or milk white, but the "tigress" (my wife) has a milk white car and she doesn't like black, so I had to choose Atlantis Gray. The gray interior matches well. The 07 has取消了 the red桃木 decoration; haha, the桃木 decoration adds a sense of premium. Currently, my personal suggestion is to take advantage of the DM-i clearance sale, which is obviously a good deal.
Compared to the Seal 06, with the current discounts, taking advantage of the clearance sale for the Seal DM-i is definitely a wise move.
