After six months and 16,000 km with my Geely Jiaji, it has fully broken in, delivering responsive power and smooth shifts from the dual-clutch gearbox, feeling like a naturally aspirated engine with CVT. The 1.6-ton vehicle impresses with combined fuel efficiency of 6.7L/100km. While the three-cylinder engine vibrates noticeably when cold (especially after long parking) and at 800rpm when warmed up, it's unnoticeable during driving. Noise isolation is good for under 300,000 RMB cars, though engine noise is slightly higher than top four-cylinder models and tire noise varies by road surface. There were two issues: an AC pipe leak and a serpentine belt failure due to a faulty tensioner, both fixed by the 4S shop. The second service cost 850 RMB (plus 150 RMB for air and cabin filters), which is pricey. As my only family car, the Jiaji excels as a versatile crossover wagon, offering decent driving dynamics, comfort, and practicality, meeting both daily and special needs despite not being outstanding in any single aspect.
