After 24 days and nearly 1,000 km of driving my BAIC Magic Cube, the fuel consumption has increased from 8.0 to 9.8, which I find acceptable considering mostly urban driving with frequent traffic lights, constant AC use, over 2 hours of idling to use the infotainment system, and the new car break-in period. The steering wheel torque is just right. The sport-tuned chassis offers good handling with resilience without being too stiff, ensuring stability at 120 km/h during lane changes. NVH performance is impressive, with minimal noise below 80 km/h, and the shock absorption works well even over road markings and speed bumps. However, tire noise becomes noticeable when exceeding 120 km/h up to 140 km/h. Despite being a compact SUV, the interior space is generous, comfortably accommodating five adults, though the trunk is average. Highlight features include HUD, ventilated seats, wireless charging, hidden door handles, HarmonyOS infotainment system, and active safety warnings. Minor drawbacks are the underpowered wireless charging (which I've disabled), occasional false alarms from the left front radar (a common issue among some owners, requiring future OTA updates for sensitivity adjustment), and limited seamless connectivity currently only supporting Huawei's Changlian, with HUD video projection restricted to USB-driven content pending app adaptations via future OTA.

My experience with the BAIC Magic Cube is good. The adaptive cruise works well on clear roads without cut-ins. The fuel consumption is around 12.7 L/100km, possibly due to idling while exploring features. After adding 200 yuan of fuel and completing procedures like registration and贴膜, the remaining range was 284 km. I'm most satisfied with its appearance—many people at the used car market and vehicle management office praised it, some mistaking it for an electric car. The sport seats with side airbags are comfortable, and the original seats are better without covers. The automatic parking is useful but requires clear parking lines, failing in underground garages. The AR-HUD is great with abundant information, though the display is a bit low for someone 1.78m tall, hoping for optimization. My partner and mom find the space more spacious than the previous Santana and my sister's CX-4, despite being shorter than the Mazda, it's taller. I haven't had maintenance yet, but other owners at the after-sales service also complimented its appearance.

My love for my first car, the BAIC Magic Cube, is like a first love—unreserved. I bought various accessories online after purchasing it. The price matches the current configuration well. The brake feel is soft, the clutch is light with an easy engagement point, and the combined fuel consumption is around 8-9. It drives stably and comfortably, with a lighter steering wheel, quicker acceleration,充沛 power, short shift stroke, and strong suction feel, making it the ceiling of driving fun at this price, a veritable small steel cannon. The seats have strong包裹性, the sound insulation is very good, and the rear space is large, the ceiling in compact cars, but the trunk is average. The overall quality is stable. The Magic Cube, a fuel car, looks like an electric vehicle with a full sense of technology. The exterior features a floating roof, frameless closed grille, inverted hook-shaped headlights, sporty front bumper, sharp waistline, smoked large-size wheels, two-tone paint, and hidden door handles which I like. The interior is简洁大气, with linear ambient lights, a lot of metal decorations, and a large floating LCD screen that is very sensitive and fast to use. In terms of configuration, it is equipped with HarmonyOS vehicle OS, AR-HUD, and supports full-vehicle OTA upgrades. Practical features like automatic parking, 50-meter trajectory reversing, highway assistance HWA, lane keeping LKA, and cruise assistance IACC are also available. It is said that next year's Magic Mirror model will be equipped with 5G network and electronic exterior rearview mirrors. I am a bit期待 to install electronic exterior rearview mirrors on my Star Shine model after the Magic Mirror model is launched next year.
