Hongqi Hongqi H5

My first car is the 2025 Hongqi H5 2.0T Qichang. Initially drawn to Hongqi by its wedding车队 on Douyin, I chose H5 due to budget constraints after consulting real owners despite friends' skepticism. The final price of 137,000 RMB (including taxes, insurance, and interest) satisfied me. I love its appearance—especially the straight waterfall grille, prominent Hongqi logo, and black exterior with red interior, which exudes a premium feel. On the highway, it was stable even at 160 km/h with strong overtaking power. The seats are comfortable, and ventilated/heating functions are practical. While the infotainment system is slow, voice control and navigation projection on the dashboard are convenient. The only minor issue is relatively high fuel consumption in urban traffic, but it's understandable for a 2.0T engine. Overall, I'm very happy with this Hongqi H5.

For the Hongqi H5, fuel consumption is acceptable when not stuck in traffic but high in traffic. Normal driving is good with no delay, except for a delay when flooring the accelerator at startup. In the 150,000 yuan B-class segment, its space is unparalleled and really large. The interior is quite nice. It offers things other car companies don't at this price, and the three major components have a warranty, so I don't worry. The configuration is great, with seat memory and 360-degree camera, which is really suitable for new drivers. The car is really big. Buying black for such a large car looks really elegant.

Regarding the Hongqi H5, some say the start is sluggish, but when I press the accelerator harder, it surges forward with strong power, performing well even during highway overtaking. Fuel consumption is around 11 L/100km in the city with AC on, 9 L without AC, and 8 L on the highway. For such a large car, it's acceptable. I bought it because I like it; others mention its flaws, but no one denies it's handsome.
